yeah, i know a lot of people couldn't get into invasion, but once i realized it was done by the same guy who created "American Gothic" i figured i should stick it out through the first season. and it definitely picked up a lot at the end, but by that point too many people had already jumped ship. right now they're saying there is a possibility it could end up on the CW when that network launhes. Just a rumor, but i can dream.

i agree with you 100%, except that I didn't get into watching invasion. i tried once, but it was a little too much of a slow burn for me. oh well! something will come along next season to take its place. something always does.

JJ Abrams has said that the show won't be able to go on more than 5 seasons which sounds about right. the rumor is that next season will deal largely with the story of "the others," but after the finale it seems that may not be the case. but if lost goes 3 more seasons and comes to a satisfying conclusion at the end of it's run (which i have faith that it will), then i will be quite pleased.

and the network messed with the schedule so much that many probably did switch to american idol during those off weeks, and then the final episodes came at the same time. just poor planning. i also blame them 100% for Invasion's failure, because that was a show that spent the first season building character and building conflict that easily could have lasted for 4 or 5 more seasons and now it won't get the chance because they showed repeats every 2 or 3 weeks.
